Scouts (10.5-14)

The Scout section is the third section in the Scout Group, following Beavers and Cubs, for young people aged between 10½ and 14 years old.

In the Troop, Scouts make friends with like-minded young people from all walks of life. Together, they will earn badges and awards by taking part in both indoor and outdoor activities.

We have two Scout Troops: the Monday Troop and the Wednesday Troop. Both offer the same amazing programme and skills for life.

Our Scouts enjoy a range of activities from air rifle shooting to axe skills, from drawing to campfires, from cooking to going camping. They also enjoy many opportunities, including the chance to go on an international trip and working towards the Chief Scout’s Gold Award.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
